Reserve a Schnauzer Puppy

Ready to bring home a Happy Beard Schnauzer? This page explains how our reservation process works, including the puppy application, contract, deposit, updates, pickup or transportation options, and what to expect before go-home day.

How the Reservation Process Works

1. Review the sample contract so you understand our terms before moving forward.

2. Fill out the puppy application or contact form so we can learn more about your family, preferences, and timeline.

3. Text (661) 390 8316 to schedule a call so we can answer questions and make sure the breed, timing, and placement are a good fit.

4. Once both parties are comfortable moving forward, the contract is signed through DocuSign.

5. A non-refundable $300 deposit is accepted after approval and agreement. The remaining balance is due at pickup or before transport.

Sample Contract

We ask families to review our sample contract before moving forward with a puppy reservation. This helps make sure expectations are clear before an application, deposit, or placement decision.

Puppy Application

The puppy application helps us learn more about your home, experience, preferences, and timing. We use this information to decide whether we may have the right Schnauzer puppy or upcoming litter for your family.

What Happens After Deposit

After a puppy is reserved, families receive updates while they wait for go-home day. Updates may include photos, videos, temperament notes, and information about the puppy’s development. We also stay in communication about naming, pickup or transportation plans, final payment timing, and anything your family needs to prepare before your puppy comes home.

Visiting and Biosecurity

We take puppy health and biosecurity seriously. In-person visits are by appointment only and may depend on the puppy’s age, vaccination status, and current litter needs. Video meetings are always welcome and are often the safest way to meet puppies, ask questions, and talk through next steps before go-home day. For in-person visits, we ask visitors to follow safety guidelines, avoid visiting other puppies or high-risk dog areas before coming, and use hand sanitizer or other precautions as requested. These steps help protect young puppies while they are still developing immunity.

Pickup and Transportation Options

Families are always welcome to pick up their puppy from us in person, or we can meet at the Salt Lake City airport when arranged in advance. For safety reasons, we do not use outside flight nanny services or large group ground-transport services. Many outside transporters carry puppies from multiple breeders, use shared carriers, or combine several puppies in one trip, which increases health and exposure risks.

When transportation is needed, we offer in-cabin flight nanny service ourselves at a lower cost than outside services. Puppies are always transported in cabin and never as cargo. We may also be able to drive or meet partway for a nominal fee. Please contact us for current transportation options and a quote.

Go-Home Day and Puppy Package

Before go-home day, we will confirm timing, pickup or transportation details, final payment, and any last questions. Each puppy goes home with age-appropriate vet care, microchip information, registration details when applicable, familiar items to help with the transition, and guidance for the first days at home. We also remain available for support after your puppy joins your family.

Questions Before Reserving?

We are happy to answer questions before you apply or reserve a puppy. If you are unsure which Schnauzer size, sex, timing, or litter may be the best fit, contact us and we can talk through your options.
